Hate Laws Are Not Enough To Stop Racism & Discrimination

Different groups have been lobbying all levels of governments to increase or tighten hate laws and discrimination laws. While I think these efforts are great, I also think that these are not enough to stop racism and discrimination. Laws and legislations do not change how people feel inside their hearts.

While tighter hate laws are helpful in controlling hate crimes in public, racists will still continue to hate and discriminate where they can. So to really end racism and discrimination, I think in addition to better laws, we need to show people the benefits of diversity. We need to help change how racists feel inside.

This is what we focus on at Unity Power Force. We try to show the world that not only is it okay to interact with people who are different from each other, but there are actually positive experiences and benefits.

Here’s my latest video on this.
