The Angkor Wat Set Of Unity Power Force Music Videos
If you are following recent posts, you know that I travelled to Cambodia to see the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Site called Angkor Wat. I used parts of Unity Power Force songs as music background for many of the travel videos I’ve been producing. It turns out that there’s actually enough video footage of some of the ancient temples at Angkor to use as brand new music videos for a few of our released songs. These new videos will be called the Angkor Wat Set of Unity Power Force music videos to give our viewers some new visuals (in these cases, ancient 12th/13th century temples) set to our music.
Each of these music videos from the Angkor Wat Set has been paired up with a specific Unity Power Force song either because of related lyrics or background mood. For example, the first one uses our acoustic guitar instrumental Hope as music for video footage of the Angkor Wat sunrise which is pure magic.
The next music video from this set was shot at a small temple site called Chau Say Tevoda and it was perfect for our song Love Has Left Me. No other tourists were on site except for me so the video scenes have a feeling of loneliness which is a perfect setting for Love Has Left Me.
My favourite temple overall from my Angkor Wat visit was Ta Prohm which is commonly known as the ‘Tomb Raider’ temple since scenes from the 2001 movie Lara Croft Tomb Raider were shot there. It is the most beautiful temple site at Angkor because it is so lush with trees and plants along with ponds. Some of the trees have actually grown right through in between temple stones giving the impression that the temple has merged with nature. Video footage of Ta Prohm was therefore an easy match with our song In Harmony.
After completing the above lyric video for In Harmony with the Ta Prohm temple, I looked at the video footage I took at the Bayon temple again where the macaque monkeys were. I then decided that In Harmony would be a good fit for Bayon as well since there was certainly a harmony of some sort between the temple and the monkeys who live there. But this time I decided to use the acoustic unplugged version of In Harmony with the resulting lyric video below.
So after doing new music videos with the sunrise visit to Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon, I still had decent footage of Angkor Wat during the daytime which deserved a music video of its own too. Hope was too short for this video footage so I made a quick decision to use In Harmony one last time to complete the Angkor Wat Set as the scenes with the water on the temple grounds convinced me that this song was appropriate once more.
When I was on site at these temples, I also shot a few scenes for some potential music video shorts. I ended up creating two of them for Love Has Left Me with separate video shorts at Chau Say Tevoda and Bayon temples.
For those who want to see a more detailed practical tourist tips video on travel to see these amazing ancient temples in real life, just go to the main Angkor Wat post.
