Guitar Video Shorts Recap October 2023

Guitar Video Shorts Recap October 2023

Here’s the second recap of guitar video shorts by Clint Cora covering October 2023. Again we are always surprised to see which clips get more views on YouTube compared to others. Clips for some songs were expected to get more views than others but a few times the ones who did really well just took us off guard. Again all the guitar video shorts are divided into different musical style categories below long with some comments.

Pop Rock

The Boston guitar sound is one of my all time favourite tones on a guitar and I tried my best to mimic it on this clip. For such a short clip that captures just the first chords of the song, it got quite a lot of views.

Classic Rock & Pop

I figure that I should do at least one Led Zeppelin song and this one is my favourite from them
I have always loved this song ever since I was a teen as it has one of the coolest guitar riffs ever.
So many great hits from Foreigner. At least I got to see their singer Lou Gramm perform all these hits in concert at the CNE Bandshell one summer.
Still can’t believe that this song was from the 60s. Shows just how timeless The Beatles are!
This is the 2nd Rolling Stones song I’ve covered. Amazing how they are still around to rock for us.

Hard Rock Heavy Metal & Punk Rock

Alice Cooper is one of the best all time rock entertainers with some really cool songs
Athough Rush is known and highly respected as a progressive rock band, I actually prefer their early songs like In The Mood which is more straight hard rock.
This clip was a surprise as it did not do as well as I had predicted even with what I would consider to be the best Ted Nugent song.
This ACDC song clip did much better than the other one I did last month but maybe because I was just starting out with these last time.
Another one from my favourite band Def Leppard
Another one from my favourite band in high school, KISS
Not a guitar clip but a vocal version of one I did last month.

New Wave & Alternative Rock

This clip was an absolute shock as it had over 5,000 views on YouTube! It is one of the most fun tunes ever.
This was another surprise as I thought with one of the biggest bands still around like U2 with one of their classic hits like Sunday Bloody Sunday, we would get more views than it did.
This was one of the most interesting songs I’ve played since it’s so different from my usual guitar playing style. The Police definitely had a very different musical sound.
The original music video with Blur is one of the coolest around.
