Great To Go Out For Ethnic Cuisine Again
After two years of the pandemic of staying in, it was great to go out for ethnic cuisine again as a group. Although Unity Power Force focuses mainly on our community music project, we also celebrate cultural diversity and multiculturalism through ethnic foods. So lately after group video shoots, we’ve been going out as a group to try out different ethnic restaurants which survived the pandemic.
After the shoot for our Rockin’ Me music video. all of the performers as well as the video shoot assistants went out to a local Thai restaurant called Jing Thai in Mississauga. We did something similar after the shoot for the acoustic version of In Harmony as the group went out to a local Asian noodles place called Meet Noodles and unlike at Jing Thai, this time our singer Chantall reminded me to get a photo which is shown below.
The next morning after the acoustic In Harmony music video shoot, three of us finished off the video scenes required for our upcoming song Shoot It In The Net and since it was a morning shoot, we finished in time just for Chinese dim sum brunch pictured at the very top of this article. Chantall has been waiting to have dim sum since it’s been something she hasn’t done since pre-pandemic and for Michelle it’s been years. I’ve recently returned to dim sum myself a bit earlier with my scuba diving group (shown below) which enticed Chantall’s own desire for it so this was all perfect timing.
My ski group just recently had our own social get together with dim sum for the first time while introducing it to a few who were newbies to dim sum. A very enjoyable event shared with a diverse group of people.
We always said that one of the best ways to celebrate cultural diversity and multiculturalism as well as defeat racism is to try out different ethnic cuisines that you normally do not have.
