Acoustic Guitar Instrumental Hope Released By Unity Power Force
For December, we chose to release something different. Instead of an expected song featuring vocals and a full band, Unity Power Force has released an instrumental called Hope which is played by just one single solo acoustic guitar. We wanted to release Hope as a special Christmas gift of sorts to everyone out there as it’s a time to reflect on another challenging year our world has had due to the pandemic and other issues or conflicts happening around the world.
We also want to use this song to ‘hope’ for better health, better prosperity and peace for everyone out there. Hope actually ties in well with our song In Harmony since they both have related themes of wishing for a better world. In fact, there will be a future acoustic unplugged version of In Harmony that will also feature Hope as a beginning prelude since they were composed in the same musical key.
For now we’ll release Hope as a standalone solo acoustic guitar instrumental and perhaps a demonstration of how an acoustic guitar can be used as both a soft melodic instrument as well as one that can be played as an exciting lead instrument. As a guitar player, this tune was the most challenging piece I’ve ever had to play on an acoustic guitar that required two separate recording sessions of TWENTY takes each! This is quite ironic considering that I composed it. Before we get to the main official music video for Hope, here’s a quick video short where I talked about the challenge of recording this intrumental.
I used my Ovation Custom Legend acoustic guitar in recording this instrumental and hopefully it shows that sometimes one does not necessarily need electric guitars to play lead guitar lines.
Here is the official music video for Hope shot at Sugar Maple Woods in Mississauga, Ontario. If watching on YouTube, please hit the Like button as every little bit helps.
For Spotify account holders, you can listen to the full instrumental (even though it’s only about a minute and 16 seconds long) below through the Spotify embed app at a higher sound quality compared to the version on YouTube – others will hear just a preview. It should also be on Amazon Music and Apple Music. Don’t forget to add this track to your library or playlists at your music streaming platform.
This song now has a second official music video referred to as the Chinese Garden version embedded below.
