Rock’n Me By Unity Power Force
Our first cover song release on our Spotify and other major music streaming platforms is Rock’n Me which is a classic rock song by Steve Miller Band from their 1976 album Fly Like An Eagle. In addition to our original songs, this is will be the first of hopefully many cover songs we’ll record since we think it’s super cool to take older classic songs and update them with our own Unity Power Force musical style.
So in this case, we’ve turned Rock’n Me into a hard rock song with heavier rock guitars and more solos throughout the tune. We also added our big Unity Power Force vocal harmonies that you heard on both In Harmony and Shoot It In The Net, our previous releases with singing.
Here is the official music video for Rock’n Me which was shot at two different locations in the Streetsville area of Mississauga, Ontario but just around the corner from each other.
Rock’n Me can be listened to with the best sound quality at Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and other major streaming platforms. Spotify users can listen to the full song at the embed app below (non-users will hear just a preview).
Here are the lyrics below.
Rock’n Me
Well I’ve been lookin’ real hard
And I’m tryin’ to find a job
But it just keeps gettin’ tougher every day
But I got to do my part cause I know in my heart
I got to please my sweet baby, yeah
Well, I ain’t superstitious
And I don’t get suspicious
But my woman (man) is a friend of mine
And I know that it’s true that all the things that I do
Will come back to me in my sweet time
So keep on rock’n me baby
Keep on rock’n me baby
Keep on rock’n me baby
Keep on rock’n me baby
I went from Phoenix, Arizona
All the way to Tacoma
Philadelphia, Atlanta, L.A.
Northern California where the girls (boys) are warm
So I could be with my sweet baby, yeah
Keep on rock’n me baby
Keep on rock’n me baby
Keep on rock’n me baby
Keep on rock’n me baby
Don’t get suspicious
Now don’t be suspicious
Babe, you know you are a friend of mine
And you know that it’s true
That all the things that I do
Are gonna come back to you in your sweet time
I went from Phoenix, Arizona
All the way to Tacoma
Philadelphia, Atlanta, L.A.
Northern California where the girls are warm
So I could hear my sweet baby say
Keep on rock’n me baby
Keep on rock’n me baby
Keep on rock’n me baby
Keep on rock’n me baby
